Dr. Harasha's original specialty is chiropractic. The beauty of chiropractic is the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and one great thing we can do is to remove any interference blocking those abilities. Chiropractors believe the Spine and Nervous System are foundational systems and a freely moveable spine with balanced nervous system function are key.

Most chiropractors choose to specialize in one or several techniques for diagnosing and treating the spine. Dr. Harasha uses a combination of:

  • Sacro-Occipital-Technique (SOT) - an advanced system of analysis and gentle adjusting using blocks and/or hands

  • Logan Basic - a gentle technique used to balance the sacrum (taught at Logan University in Chesterfield)

  • Diversified adjusting - a hands on technique for adjusting the spine and extremities

  • Torque Release and Integrator adjusting - a system of analysis and adjusting with an instrument (gentle)

  • Soft tissue modalities - muscles and fascia affect the spine and need to be addressed

By utilizing this combination of spinal analysis and adjusting techniques, Dr. Harasha is able to assess/diagnose your spine and adjust you in the most gentle and effective method possible. There is no need for X-rays or MRIs (although if you already have them they help). These methods are much safer than medical treatments and more honoring to your body.

Acupuncture / Meridian Therapy For:

Computerized Meridian Therapy

Western science has caught up with the centuries old traditional acupuncture methods. Acugraph Digital Meridian Imaging allows Dr. Harasha to measure the balance of the energy flow through your 12 main meridians in real time using a computer and specialized probe. This gives objective data and sophisticated treatment plans to quickly and reliably balance your energy system. He prefers to use this system with most clients because of all it's benefits including: objectivity, consistency, client education, data presentation, easy tracking visit to visit, and giving the client something they can take home and understand without using the sometimes esoteric and traditional descriptions used in Chinese Medicine.

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture

At times Dr. Harasha uses his more classical training of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This training uses diagnostic findings from the tongue, pulse, finger nails, and other body areas to help determine patterns of imbalance in the body. Orthopedics in this system is often done through older meridian channel theory and various balancing methods like Dr. Tan's. In some cases he may use Chinese herbs to help superficially or refer out to for in-depth herbal protocols.

Dr. Harasha received his diploma from Functional Medicine University to become a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) and a diplomate in clinical nutrition from the American Board of Clinical Nutrition (ABCN).

This training, along with Dr. Harasha's own personal recovery from a severe illness, has provided him much knowledge and experience with complex health issues. Functional medicine specializes in discovering the root cause of disease to help reverse and/or prevent them. The scope is broad involving genetics, environment, diet/nutrition, lifestyle, toxicity and activity. Dr. Harasha has noticed that most things come down to three things: 1. Gut Health  2. Inflammation  3. Blood Sugar/Insulin balance.

Functional Medicine practiced by Dr. Harasha will include a thorough investigation of all the factors contributing to stress in your system and means to mitigate that stress. Most of this is possible through in-depth interviews, however, sometimes specialty testing is used to determine objective information. The treatment involves changes in diet, lifestyle, environment and taking targeted, professional grade supplements to regain balance.

Class IV Laser Therapy

Laser therapy been scientifically proven to reduce pain, reduce inflammation, reduce swelling, and accelerate the healing process while strengthening damaged tissue.

Laser therapy produces a healing effect in the cells and structures of the body.  Unlike other therapies which mask or cover up the condition, laser light influences the cells of the body to speed up and strengthen the healing process.  The effect of laser therapy is not just temporary relief, it is cumulative over time, so the more treatments you have, the stronger and more permanent the effect.  Because laser light interacts with the cells and a natural healing process is generated, the results are quite long lasting.  In many cases, the problem may be permanently resolved.

This innovative therapy is to treat a wide variety of conditions, including:

  • Neck Pain

  • Muscle Pain

  • Contusions
